There is an effort to get Democrats to vote in the GOP Primary, and Gio took money from one of the groups pushing it.
Giovanni Capriglione falsely accuses Armin Mizani of being a Democrat while he takes money from actual democrats and left-leaning groups. One of these groups, Association of Texas Professional Educators, is actively encouraging a new “culture of voting” initiative in school districts across Texas, including Grapevine/Colleyville ISD. They are encouraging parents and teachers to vote. No harm there, right? Wrong. They then direct voters to a Democrat website! And teachers are given purple wristbands to wear if they pledge to vote as a block regardless of personal beliefs. This is totally illegal and Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton issued cease and desist letters to three Texas school districts he says are conducting "unlawful electioneering.”
Gio has also taken money from long-time democrat Gib Lewis, as well as from democrats who serve in local government and from a slew of moderate establishment Republican groups. Gio is counting on democrats to help elect him to a fourth term because he has burned his grassroots’ support for so long. These people would have had nothing to do with him if he had not sold out. Don’t be fooled by Gio; he has lost every legitimate conservative endorsement to Armin Mizani. Vote for the real conservative – vote for Armin Mizani.
