Gio Campaigns Against Shark Tank Challengers

February 3, 2018.

It's time for a little Q&A!

Q: Why did Giovanni Capriglione campaign for DeWayne Burns and Dan Flynn against their conservative challengers?

A: Because Gio isn’t fighting the Austin swamp; Gio is growing the Austin swamp!

We at NE Tarrant Tea Party are leading a Texas-wide effort to elect as many conservative challengers to liberal incumbents in the State House as possible. Our Shark Tank fundraisers have raised hundreds of thousands of dollars from patriots all over the state for districts all over the state.  Why?  Because we are a coordinated, statewide movement intent on filling the House with conservative representation. So, what a surprise when we saw Giovanni Capliglione actively campaigning against two men who would have joined the Texas Freedom Caucus!

Philip Eby fought and narrowly lost a race to establishment lacky DeWayne Burns. Burns, of course, ran as a conservative and quickly changed his tune when he got to Austin. Philip Eby looked forward to joining conservatives and fighting for Texas taxpayers. He was heavily endorsed by conservative groups across the state including the NETTP PAC.

Here’s Gio Capriglione and Craig Goldman in House District 58 campaigning for DeWayne Burns.
DeWayne Burns has a D+ average. Can’t we do better than this?

Fiscal Responsibility Index Score: 66%

Young Conservatives of Texas Score: 70%

  Concerned Women of America: 64%

More troubling than his support for Burns is Gio helping Dan Flynn defeat Bryan Slaton. Bryan lost to Dan by less than 500 votes. If Slaton had won, he also would have joined the Texas Freedom Caucus to fight against the Austin establishment. Slaton is running against Flynn again and is also heavily endorsed by conservative organizations across Texas including NETTP PAC.

Dan Flynn- Fiscal Responsibility Index Score: 49%

Young Conservatives  of Texas Score: 54%

Concerned Women of America: 57%

The fact that Gio would campaign for an incumbent like Flynn is a sign that he has completely abandoned our conservative cause to reform the Austin swamp.  Flynn is part of the cabal in Austin that vigorously fights against conservative reforms, and he was voted one of the worst lawmakers in Texas by the leading taxpayer watchdog group.
